I have been an attorney for more than 30 years. I am now happily semi-retired and divide my time between Massachusetts and Florida. I maintain my licenses to practice in both states and welcome new clients on a selective basis.
My practice is and has been limited to civil matters including litigation. I have litigated cases in all manner of courts both Federal and State, jury and non-jury.
My practice began in 1985 on Wall Street in New York City where I worked for a boutique Admiralty firm. The firm represented ship owners and ship owner interests from around the globe. Admittedly, the practice is esoteric and in 1989 I moved to a firm with a more generalized practice where I represented investors, broker-dealers, high-net worth individuals in contract disputes and companies in security and discrimination claims.
After I married and we had a child my wife and I decided to move closer to my wife’s family and relocated to Tampa, Florida where I joined and became a partner in a large established Tampa firm. There I represented a South American ship owner, a public company engaged in the manufacture and sale of private label nutraceuticals, a public adjustor, one of the largest privately owned towing businesses in Florida and statewide home repair business just to name a few. These clients provided me with an interesting array of problems to solve and kept me very busy in both State and Federal Court.
But in my late 50’s I grew weary of large firm practice and wanted to slow down and set my own pace. I relinquished my partnership and for a short time worked in a small plaintiff’s firm devoted to the rights of victims of discrimination. And in 2011 I started my own practice.
For the last 10 years or so I have been honored to represent well over 500 individuals in all manner of cases arising under State and Federal laws governing discrimination, wages, equal pay, retaliation, and other laws. Some of these cases I took on behalf of one individual, others were class actions.
It has been slow transitioning out of an active practice, but I can look back and confidently say I’ve made a difference in my clients’ lives.
I’m happy to confer over the phone about your legal problem and if I can help, I will.
